Louis Jones

Louis has lived and worked in Bristol since 2003 and has enjoyed this time being immersed in Bristol's vibrant and thriving animation and illustration scene. Originally hailing from South Wales, Louis started work in Bristol the day after he graduated. After enjoying 3 years with A Productions as a Designer, Story boarder and Animator, Louis went on to work for the multi-Oscar winning Aardman Animations on numerous projects and Adverts for TV, including storyboards for 'Weetos' and 'Robinsons Squash' and character designs for 'British Gas' and 'Chevron'.In 2007 Louis Co-founded animation Studio 'Sun and Moon Studios' with Dylan Shipley and currently works as a Creative Director for the company.

I wanted to create a design using clean, simple, graphical vector shapes which felt contemporary and worked overall as an image to draw your interest in. Then when you looked closer you would discover more detail. It's a direct representation of how I like to spend my own spare time, with references to places, films, family and friends. Even though the poster is about me, my hope is that my design is open to interpretation and that the viewer can make their own story up. I just hope that people like it and think it's pretty enough to put on their wall.
